On a Theme by Joseph Haydn

This is my first composition using my multiple bow technique. Like my etudes, I tried to find the origin of the idea, as an ode to the first creator. In this case, I was trying to find the first time multiple bows were used in a written out composition. It is not known who composed the first string trio or first string quartet, but Joseph Haydn was one of the first composers to do so. I looked at the first movement of his first string quartet, and used that as a basis for this composition.
