It is exhausting trying to find country of origin listed for products. Even then, beware - it sometimes refers to where the product was processed rather than grown. I started out by entering into long and tortuous discussions with retailers about this, but now I just reason that if they can't be bothered to tell me, then I can't be bothered to shop with them.
It was frustration at the lack of information about UK-grown products that prompted this project!
Let's try and make it easier for everyone else...

Shop local
If you're fortunate enough to have a local independent retailer, go say hallo to them. Not many have withstood the assault of supermarkets. Where possible, I shop at the Haelan Centre in Crouch End or Park Road N8. You can check their stock and prices online here.

In an ideal world, our independent local retailers will be persuaded to sell UK-sourced produce. Sadly my powers of persuasion aren't up to much, so I have to buy some stuff online.

www.BigBarn.co.uk

Enables producers to sell direct. An excellent project to support.
