I am Professor of Economics at the Federal University of Applied Administrative Sciences in Rostock (Germany) and Research Fellow at the University of Basel (Switzerland). From 2020 to 2025, I was Max Geldner Assistant Professor for Quantitative Economic History/Cliometrics at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Basel. As an economist with a strong interdisciplinary background, I am interested in the long-run interplay between the demographic and economic evolution.Â
