I am Senior Research Collaborator at the SwissTPH. From 2020 to 2025, I was Max Geldner Assistant Professor for Quantitative Economic History/Cliometrics at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Basel. As an economist with a strong interdisciplinary background, I am interested in the long-run interplay between the demographic and economic evolution.

My research interests are:

Computational Economics, Demographic Economics, Development Economics, Economic Growth, Economic History, Health Economics, Migration, Political Economics
