Welcome to the St. Croix Valley Radio Amateurs (SCVRA) website. We have members from both sides of the St. Croix River with most of our meetings being in the Hudson and River Falls, Wisconsin, areas. Please join us for breakfast on Saturday's and at our monthly meetings the second Monday of each month.
Monthly Meetings We meet the second Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. local time at the St. Croix County Government Center, 1101 Carmichael Rd., Hudson, WI. Our meetings are combined with the St. Croix County ARES/RACES group which meets at 7:30 p.m. local time. We start with a brief SCVRA meeting, we attempt to keep the meetings brief and then follow up with speakers or programs. Everyone is welcome. | Saturday Breakfast Weekly Breakfast get-togethers are held every Saturday at about 8:00 AM. These weekly gatherings are currently being held at the Kinni Cafe, 702 North Main St, River Falls. From the West, take I-94 to exit 3 go about 8 miles to the first River Falls exit. Proceed South on North Main Street through the second set of stoplights and the Family Restaurant is on your left hand side. Check in on the Club Repeater (147.330 MHz, PL tone of 110.9),around 7:30 am if you need directions. Everyone is welcome. Monday Evening Radio Nets Monday nights at 7:00 on the SCVRA Club Repeater, 147.330 MHz, PL tone of 110.9, is the time for the weekly St. Croix Valley Friendly/ St. Croix County ARES-RACES net. All amateur operators are welcome to check into the net. ARES/RACES members simply say "ARES/RACES" after their callsign. There is often important information passed along on these nets so please try to check in regularly. The SCVRA net is the place to announce items you may want to buy, sell, or trade. Saturday April 28, 2018. St. Croix County Government Center, 1101 Carmichael Rd., Hudson, WI 8:00 AM - 10:45: Question and answer review session. 11:00 AM Exams given. You must hold a currently valid license for a Class (Technician, General) or pass the exam for that Class before you can take the exam for the next higher Class. If you pass the Technician Exam you can immediately take the General Class exam without paying another testing fee. To register, contact Rick Nelsen, KC9RYZ: rickn@asm-mmf.com.
