Experience Easter - 22nd Feb

posted 8 Feb 2016, 13:43 by St Clement Church

We will begin Experience Easter in week beginning 22nd February 2016. This will be the eight year we have offered this great resource to the local schools.

It can only operate because of a large number of volunteers who we draw from our own congregation and many of the Chorlton Churches. I need at least 6 people to deliver Experience Easter for one class of pupils. We are looking for new volunteers.

I am running two 'preview sessions' to show something of Experience Easter off to prospective volunteers, or as a refresher. These preview sessions will be on Monday 8th & Tuesday 9th February from 7:30pm onward in St Clements. Please do come along, even if I haven't specifically invited you!

Foodbank training: 11th February

posted 9 Feb 2015, 08:01 by St Clement Church

Training for foodbank volunteers to take place at St Barnabas on Wednesday
11th February at 8.00 pm. The session should not take more than 2 hours.
Even if you haven't yet volunteered and would like to, you can still do so. The
hope is that we will have enough volunteers to ensure people are only on duty
once every 3 or 4 weeks. There will be some paperwork to go through
beforehand so please do see me if you are interested in joining our volunteers
list. Many Thanks, Phil

Hall Opening on a Saturday

posted 9 Feb 2015, 07:59 by St Clement Church

One of the easy ways to help St Clement’s is to help with party bookings on a
Saturday. All that is in involved is coming along at 1pm (and sometimes 6pm) to
greet the hall users and explain where everything is and how things work. It is a
simple task but does bring in a very useful income for St Clements. If you could
help every month/ six weeks please speak to Ken. Thank You.

Chorlton Fun Run

posted 9 Feb 2015, 07:56 by St Clement Church

This is a great community event and a good fundraiser for St Clements. We are
looking for some more people to join the organizing committee (we will be
looking for volunteers for the day later). It is relatively straightforward to
organizing but it would be good to have some more hands to share the load and
bring fresh ideas. If you can help please speak to Ken.

Christian Aid Coordinator

posted 9 Feb 2015, 07:41 by St Clement Church

We are looking for a new Christian aid coordinator.. The principal role is to be
a conduct between St Clements and Christian Aid to raise awareness of the
work they are doing and to help us as a congregation get involved. It also
involves taking a lead in organizing the annual door to door collection for
Christian Aid week.
