Support St Clement's
St Clement’s Church and buildings are a major community hub in Chorlton and South Manchester.
Our four halls, in three buildings, on two separate sites host a wide variety of community groups and events. Each week over 700 children and adults attend one or more of our 40+ regular groups. These groups include parent and toddler groups, exercise classes, art classes, yoga groups, a cinema night, groups for the elderly, and much more...
Our main building was first converted into a general purpose community space in the 1970s and it is now in need of renovation.
We have already installed a disabled-access toilet, repaired roofs and rewired some of our buildings. In the last ten years we have spent over £180,000 on our buildings through money raised from grants, donations, and fundraising events.
We are currently raising money to refit, remodel and upgrade the more outdated facilities within the church. The next phase is to work on facilities; we desperately need to update the electrics, energy efficient lighting, and a modern kitchen.
You can donate to our Community Halls appeal by visiting our GoFundMe site, or send a cheque made out to St Clement's PCC to The Rectory, 6 Edge Lane, Chorlton, M21 9AE.
Alternatively, we will be running various events throughout the year, and the cost of attending will go towards the total cost of our fundraiser.
