Community Hall Appeal 2018

About St Clement's

St Clement’s Church and community buildings are a major community hub in Chorlton and South Manchester.

Our four halls, in three buildings, on two separate sites host a wide variety of community groups and events. Each week over 700 children and adults attend one or more of our 40+ regular groups. These groups include parent and toddler groups, exercise classes, art classes, yoga groups, a cinema night, groups for the elderly, and much more...
Most weekends we host family parties and special events. We are the venue for many concerts and gigs: from pop to punk, from choral to classical, we have had it all.

We are also the venue for some of Chorlton’s large community events like the Chorlton Fun Run and the Chorlton Beer Festival.

Why we need help?

Our main building was first converted into a general purpose community space in the 1970s and it is now in need of renovation.

We have already installed a disabled-access toilet, repaired roofs and rewired some of our buildings. In the last ten years we have spent over £180 000 on our buildings through money raised from grants, donations, and fundraising events.

The next phase is to work on our main building and its facilities. We desperately need to update the electrics, energy efficient lighting, and a modern kitchen.

How can you help?

our community fundraising events :
