St. Canice's Co.-Ed. National School Parents' Association
The St. Canice's Parents’ Association  would like to welcome you to our section of the school website.
The Parents' Association works together with the principal, staff and board of management to build effective co-operation and partnership between parents and the school. The association can make representations to the school on issues of policy and advise the principal and board of parents' views on any matter affecting the school. The Parents' Association initiates and coordinates a range of events and projects which aim to promote the education, interests and well-being of our children, the pupils, of St. Canice's.
The Parents' Association holds its Annual General Meeting during the first term of the school year. The Parents' Association meets monthly with the school principal throughout the year. New parents are actively encouraged to join the Committee every year.
The following are some of the activities in which Parents Associations have been involved:
  • Channelling parents' views on school policy issues to the principal/board.
  • Organising information/social events for parents eg. social nights, Anti-Bullying information evening.
  • Organising fund raising events for the school eg. Family Fun Day, cake sales etc.
