HOLY WEEK!
This is the most sacred time in our Church year.
There are several opportunities for you to
participate in prayer and service
(and, yes, earn credits).
Palm Sunday, March 29th (J or S)(after the 11 o'clock Mass)
Meet us in the cafeteria to help "stuff Easter baskets" for
children and teens in DCF care. Donations are always appreciated.
(Think of what you would like to find in an Easter basket: candy, nail polish, cards, markers or school supplies for younger children....)

Holy Thursday: (P&L) the celebration of the Lord's Supper. This is the Mass where we recall the washing of the feet and Jesus' Last Supper.

Good Friday: (P&L)we gather to proclaim the Passion of Jesus
At St. Bridget:
or
the townwide Living Stations of the Cross beginning at Center Congration Church (top of Main Street) at 11:00

Holy Saturday (S) (late morning) help put candles in the candle holders for the Easter Vigil. This does NOT take a long time and you can bring a friend to help. (Bonus....the ladies always have pizza and treats for you!)
Email Miss Carroll if you think you are interested.

Holy Saturday Easter Vigil: (P&L) The lighting of the Easter fire outside is wonderful! The Easter Vigil begins outside around 8:00. Come for the lighting of the Easter fire. The Vigil is a longer Mass but a different Prayer experience. (We begin outside around 8 and conclude around 10pm.)

I'm still accepting books!
WOULD YOU, COULD YOU
  BUY A BOOK
TAKE A MINUTE, TAKE A LOOK

There is no question that learning to read is important to everyone. Owning your very own book is an important step in helping children love reading. For families using the services offered at MACC, that is a luxury for a child. One of the workers is trying to change that. There is a small space that is being set up where a child may pick one new book (and a small stuffed animal to read to) to adopt! What a great way to boost not only reading but the sense of dignity. What does that have to do with you? I'm glad you asked!

Do it in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday! (March 2nd)
Do it in honor of your favorite reading teacher.
Donate a few picture or chapter books.
I will bring them to MACC.
Maybe some of your childhood favorites.
Every book helps.

Covenant House News!

Recently I was able to travel to New York and visit Covenant House in New York City.  Covenant
House is a homeless shelter specifically for teenagers.  This organization has 21 shelters all over
North America.  We will continually be updating this section just like below with the Immaculate Conception Shelter section with different facts, news, and upcoming events that support Covenant House.

You can also visit their website by clicking HERE, or visiting our links  page.
No person, especially a child, deserves to be homeless.  Together we will end homelessness.
