St. Bede's Catholic Church, Newport Pagnell

Churches of Newport Pagnell

There are six churches in Newport Pagnell - the Parish Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, St. Luke's (both Anglican), the Methodist Church, the United Reformed Church and the Baptist Church - and, of course, St. Bede's.

Parish Church

The church of St. Peter and St.Paul dominates the Eastern part of the High Street and can trace its history back to the 13th century. The church is open during the week.

St. Luke's Church

The second Anglican church in the town was established in the 1920s and serves the Western part of the town.

Methodist Church

The church was built in 1815 and hosts the popular Willen Hospice Coffee Shop.

United Reformed Church

As the Methodist Church, the URC is set back from the High Stree. The recently modernised church is one of the earliest Non-Conformist Congregations in the area.

Baptist Church

The Baptist Church meets at Lovat Hall, which it bought from the local council. The building continues to operate as a community centre, with many activities going on every day.

St. Bede's Church

The Catholic Church is located at the lower end of the High Street.
