Priority registrants will have their choice of a long sleeve race shirt or a beanie with their race packet.
You may purchase additional shirts/beanies for $20 each with your registration. All 5 year consecutive registrants have the option to replace their beanie/shirt with a embroidered fleece vest. It is not available for sale.
Registrations will continue to be accepted online and in person at Fresco's from 4:30-7:30 pm on October 5th and 8am-10am on October 6.
Online registrations are assessed a convenience fee of $5 for Running Fit and $5.30 for active.com. These funds do NOT go to us but the managing company.

We will again award free entry to one team and one relay for the best representation of their team name for the 2014 race
TEAM OR RELAY
All participants must have a partner to compete. If you do not register with a partner we will match you up with one at the event. If racing as a TEAM both partners will participate in all 3 events; canoe-bike-run, and the times will be combined for awards. If racing as a RELAY both partners will canoe, one partner will bike and the other partner will run when the cyclist finishes. If in the unlikely event that we can not match you with a partner, you can compete in the relay event as a lone participant.
CHECK IN AT HUBBELL POND PARK; WE WILL TRANSPORT YOU TO THE CANOE START
Participants will park and check-in at Hubbell Pond Park (map) beginning at 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
Shuttle service to the Proud Lake Recreation Area will run from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. for participants only. Spectator parking will be available on Peters Rd and Commerce Rd. (map).
Participants may also obtain their race packet Saturday Oct 6 from 4:30-7:30pm at Fresco Pizza Cafe in Milford. (After registering, we encourage participants to use their goodie bag coupon on a pre race dinner at the restaurant.)
NO PERSONAL CANOES ALLOWED
Canoes, paddles and PFDs from Heavner's are being provided as part of the entry fee. Personal single-blade paddles and PFDs are allowed-no double blade paddle. Participants have the option of portaging their (75 lbs.) canoe 0.4mi to the bike transition or be assessed a 15min time penalty.
5K ON THE HURON RIVER
The canoe start will be at Heavner's Canoe Livery in the Proud Lake Recreation Area We will start in waves of about 5-10 canoes. The person in the back of the canoe hangs on to a rope strung across the river. Waves will begin about 5-10 minutes apart. The canoe race will conclude downriver at Hubble Pond Park. Expect the canoe trip to take 45+ minutes. Participants MUST wear shoes - expect them to get wet. Life jackets MUST be worn for the duration of the canoe portion of the race. There are coupons available for practice at Heavner's.
10K MOUNTAIN BIKE ON SINGLE TRACK
The bike course will be one loop of the Milford Mountain Bike Trail. The bike trail is a single track MMBA trail (http://mmba.org/trail-guide/#88) with some hills and tight turns. Helmets MUST be worn. Volunteers will direct you on course.
5K TRAIL RUN
The run is an out and back on the paved Milford Trail. The Milford Trail has gently rolling hills and passes through a scenic woody riverside venue. Relay Runners: will start from a marked corral when tagged by their biking partner. You may get wet on the canoe trip, so be prepared to stay warm with a towel or blanket or a change of clothes. There is water on the course and volunteers to direct you.
TRANSITIONS A transition area in Hubbell Pond Park with marked bike racks will be provided. Access will be limited to race participants only.
Teams and Relays will be scored separately. Awards will be presented to All Female, All Male, and Co-ed Teams and Relays three deep in the Family Division (one adult family member 18ys old or older and one family member under the age of 18) and age groups of cumulative age >80 and cumulative age <80. (ie a 15yr old racer and a 55yr old racer would have a cumulative age of 70yr)

Hubbell Pond Park is the check-in point and it is located on Commerce Road, 9-miles from I-96 in Milford.

Slight right at W Huron St 0.2 mi
Turn left at S Main St 0.4 mi

BAD WEATHER POLICY
In the event of inclement weather the course may be modified. The canoe portion may be canceled and the event reduced to a duathlon.
REFUND POLICY You may cancel for a full refund if notified by Sept. 20th. Please e-mail email@example.com. If your partner cancels, every attempt will be made to find you a canoeing partner, you will be entered in the RELAY category and you may finish the remainder of the race.
