I am writing to invite you to our first annual Hack Harvard Showcase this Sunday, January 23, 2011 in Boylston Hall at Harvard College, from 2-5 pm!
Over the past six months, student-run initiatives like Hack Harvard, Harvard College Venture Partners, Quincy-Combinator, Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, TEDxHarvard, and others have reinvigorated the startup scene on campus. We at Hack Harvard hope to use this momentum to spur even more innovation: Sunday's event will be a showcase of what we have already accomplished as an entrepreneurial community and an outline of how this initiative hopes to move forward.
The program will begin with a rapid-fire showcase of our student hacks. Alex Taussig, Principal at Highland Capital, will deliver a keynote, followed by a panel talk with representatives from SCVNGR and Microsoft on the topic, "Innovation at Harvard, Boston and Beyond." The afternoon will end with a closing reception, open-networking and demonstrations.
So far we have RSVPs from Highland, Flybridge, Bain Capital, Microsoft, Google and a few other supporters.
We hope you can join us Sunday at Boylston Hall to celebrate the efforts of the student participants. Please RSVP and do not hesitate to contact the Hack Harvard Committee should you have any questions.
Chris Lee, on behalf of the Hack Harvard Committee
