Byliner is a lean, angel-funded startup building a next-generation ebook publishing and marketing company focused on non-fiction titles. The co-founders have many years of experience in magazine and book publishing and in consumer-facing technology startups.
We are commissioning new ebook titles from leading writers, all in the "Kindle Singles" format (1-2 hours to read, price in the $0.99 - $4.99 range). Our website will enable readers of nonfiction to discover and discuss online articles from their favorite writers, and follow their future work.
Looking for smart, motivated, self-directed MBA students looking to help re-invent publishing in the digital age. Mentorship from experienced startup managers and long-term opportunities available.
Summer (or anytime) internships available focused on:
- Designing and developing marketing and support services for leading non-fiction writers (social media marketing toolkit, audience analytics, ebook sales tracking)
- Managing our ebook development process (author contract negotiations, tracking books from ideation to manuscript to editing to pricing and store deployment)
- Online marketing of our flagship site, Byliner.com (SEM/SEO, social media marketing, community management)
