The Starr’s Mill Lady Panthers hosted the McIntosh High School Lady Chiefs. In a match to determine the Region championship, the Lady Panthers took early control of possession, with the midfield of Macey Voorhies and Rachel Davison leading the charge. Zoey Stellman played very well, keeping the Lady Chiefs out of the net with some key saves. With 22 minutes remaining in the match, the Lady Chiefs scored off of a corner kick to take a 1 – 0 lead. Not to be denied, the Lady Panthers answered with 14 minutes remaining on a beautifully slotted ball from Sara Evans that Chloe Thompson put in the back of the net. The score remained 1 – 1 to end the half.

In the second half, the play was mainly in the midfield, with both teams working to gain an advantage and score. However, neither team could capitalize and the end of regulation finished in a 1 – 1 tie. Overtime proved to be no different – no team could gain an advantage and the match would be determined via penalty kicks. In penalty kicks, the Lady Chiefs went first and scored and then Rachel Davison scored for the Lady Panthers, the next Lady Chief scored and the Lady Panthers did not convert. The third Lady Chief scored, and Meritt Parker scored for the Lady Panthers. The fourth Lady Chief scored, and when the next Lady Panther did not, the Lady Chiefs won the game on PKs 4 – 2.

The Lady Panthers are now 9–2–5 on the season.
