Tuesday, February 6th

At Carrollton High School

The Starr’s Mill’s Lady Panthers played on the road against the Carrollton High School Lady Trojans. In a highly physical first half, the Panthers struck first with a cross from Darby Olive that Macey Voorhies put into the back of the net at the 31st minute remaining.  As play resumed the Lady Panthers looked to add to the lead, but the physical half ended at 1 - 0 in favor of the Lady Panthers (Two Lady Panthers received yellow cards in the first half).

In the 2nd half, the physical play continued with the momentum swinging towards Carrollton.  Another yellow card was given to a Lady Panther and the free kicks mounted (each team had 8 in the 2nd half). However, the Lady Panthers maintained their composure and behind the goal keeping of Abby Weaver and Zoey Stellman, as well as the defensive play of the Lady Panthers as a team, they finished the game with a 1 – 0 victory.

Starr’s Mill now has a 1-0-0 record on the season.
