The Junior Panthers had a less than optimal season in 2016 as they only managed a 5-3-2 record. Despite that setback, the Panthers have taken their eyes off the rear view mirror and onto the road ahead as they continue to put in work in an effort to get better every single day. Opening the season against local rivals Whitewater and McIntosh at home will certainly help, for if they can start the new year off with two wins, it will do wonders for the confidence of this year’s squad. However, the Panthers can’t let there eyes get set too far in the future, and instead must take the season game by game, minute by minute, and see what comes of each and every day. Behind the leadership of new head coach Aaron Buck, Jordan Cole, Roman Castillo, Ben Mrosek, and the rest of the JV squad need to play for each other, and, should they do that, there is no question that the Panthers will be a force to be reckoned with in the 2017 season.
