Stanmer's own Wild Flower Conservationist, Johnny Gapper, joined the South Downs National Park at their Wild Chalk event in East Brighton Park on 22 July 2018. He and Lindy (our Wildlife Officer) displayed a large range of wild flowers for sale and answered questions from an enthusiastic public.
This was the first such event and it was such a roaring success - petting lambs, butterfly nets (for identification only), storytelling in the shepherd's hut, spinning and natural dyeing displays, birds of prey - that we all hope it will become an annual event.
