Father on the Mountain

A devout scholar named Brahman endures seven years of misery. His children die. His house and all his books are washed away in a flood. His wife commits suicide because she suspects him of a terrible crime. In the sixth year of his misfortune, he curses God.

Can God stop Brahman from jumping off the Mountain of Life?

This short fable is a reflection of our own reactions to tragedy. In the end, however, only our choices can lead us to the Truth.
