ABOUT ME

My name is Shih-Chuan Lin (林士全) from Taiwan. I got my Ph.D degree in July 2019 under Michael Sykuta's supervision from the Department of Applied Economics, University of Missouri-Columbia, USA. I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at Tamkang University in Taiwan. 

My research interests are Industrial Organization, Regional Economics, and Entrepreneurship. My research program centers on the economic analysis of ownership structure and firm boundary choices. I investigate how firms' strategic choices—ranging from product positioning, geographic location, multi-market contacts, and corporate governance structures—impact market competition, strategic outcomes, and overall firm performance.  

My research has been published in academic journals including International Journal of Hospitality Management, Journal of Hospitaliy and Tourism Management, Annals of Tourism Research Empirical Insights, Journal of Smart Tourism, Journal of Brand Management, Managerial and Decision Economics, and Review of Economics. 

In my free time, I like cooking and listening to classical music and Chinese classical music. Moreover, I also love playing tennis.
