This workshop is designed to give a basic understanding of ArcGIS to new users. This a 3 hour workshop with the majority of its exercises being hands-on.
Topics covered include GIS data formats, basic database management, projections, ArcCatalog, ArcMap, Tools for spatial analysis and basic cartography principles.
After attending this workshop, students should feel comfortable doing a basic map on their own.
This workshop is mandatory if students want to use Branner's ArcGIS free one-on-one consulting services.
