Our Minister

From the Minister's study:

Welcome to our website.

There are many reasons why you may be visiting this website.  You may be new to Vaughan, and looking to connect with a church.  You may have been many years away from a church, and are looking to re-establish your connection.  You may have children or teenagers who are starting to ask some of the tougher questions  ~  ‘what is the purpose of my life?’

The Bible is certainly one of (if not the) best selling books in the world.  It is the inspired Word of God, and offers insights into many of the questions you may be asking at this time in your life.

I know how difficult it can be to wrestle with thoughts of faith, church, and organized religion.
The plumbing, heating, and air conditioning industries were my life before ministry.
I always believed in God, but I did not have a clear sense of where God fit into my life,
and that was the challenge. What I discovered was that it was not all about me.
What it is about is where do I fit into God’s plan.

After many years in the wilderness, I discovered that the church was the one place
I could truly resolve my conflict, and find peace in my life.  In Matthew’s Gospel (18:20),
Jesus said, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them".

St. Andrew’s is a welcoming faith community which places Jesus Christ at the centre.
One of our goals is to provide you with a comfortable and hospitable place to praise God,
worship in community, and reflect on the relevance of God’s Word in your life.

At St. Andrew’s we believe that God’s Holy Spirit works His mystery as the conduit that binds us all together as God’s children.  If you are visiting this site for the first time, or are returning for another look, that is God’s Spirit prodding you to take action, and I encourage you to come to our public worship service on Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m.

Our worship style is traditional, and dress is casual.  We offer a comfortable nursery for your wee ones, and our Sunday school uses the fun and creative curricula Holy Moly and Connect.

For the praise and music part of the service, our director of music incorporates both the grand piano and Conn console organ in the worship service.  We also have a worship team with a sampling of contemporary praise songs.  Following the worship service, there is a time of social fellowship, complete with coffee, tea, juice, and a few nibblies.

You have come here for a reason, and I firmly believe it is because God is tapping you on the shoulder.  Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock”.  Will you open the door?

Thank you for visiting the site.
I pray Christ’s peace and God’s blessings on your life,
and look forward to seeing you.
