Supply List

All orchestra students will need the following supplies:

    1. Instrument and Bow

    2. Shoulder Rest (Violin and Viola)- KUN, FOM, or Everest

    3. Rock Stop (Bass) or Strap Stop (Cello)    

    4. Cleaning Cloth (Cotton or Microfiber)

    5. Rosin (Recommended Brands are Hidersine (Viola/Viola/Cello) or Carlsson (Bass)

    6. Metronome/Tuner- Korg TM-70, Korg Pitchclip 2, D'addario, Snark, Cherub, or Kliq are all great brands.  Please ensure the tuner is a "chromatic" tuner. 

    7. Canvas Pencil Bag with binder ring

    8. 2-3 Sharpened Pencils

    9. Music Stand for Home Use

    10. Orchestra T-Shirt (Information will be provided at the start of the school year)

    11. Method Book for their appropriate instrument.  (See Information Below for Beginners, Symphonic, Chamber, and Philharmonic Students)

For students in Orchestras A, B, and C, we will also be supplementing from the books- Expressive Techniques for Orchestra, as well as Habits of a Successful Middle Level String Musician.  They are valuable resources!  Students are welcome to purchase these books for their personal use in class or at home, however, they are not required to do so.
