Wow, the Saturday rounds were BRUTAL. Starting with 20 mph winds in the morning that kicked up to 30+ mph gusts at midday, everyone had some problems. In the end Derek Billings spanked everyone in Open with an amazing -18, assuming a par of 75, which is low given the Sunday layout. Patrick Brown continued his dominance of the Master division with a -9 which would have been good enough for 4th in Open. Malo bagged Pro Grand Masters in a playoff over Joe Graham. For all the results, here is the PDGA results.
The best rounds on Saturday were 66's by Derek Billings and John Child - an impressive 1045 rating. Given the wind, those were some seriously good rounds and beat the next best scores by 4.
The best round on Sunday was Derek's 71, with a 1026 rated round. Yeah, being able to throw it a mile when everything was long helps!
Special thanks to Jimmy, George, Russ, Sugar's Mom, Marty and everyone that I've forgotten to include for making a great event.
