November 26th was our third annual Leadership 360! event for the fifth graders of Waverly-Shell Rock and St. Paul's school. 150+ students enjoyed learning about personal leadership, leading (and knowing when to follow) in a group, and using leadership skills to go from a bystander to a leader in bullying or difficult situations. Students listened to a keynote presentation from Brent Matthias, experienced breakout sessions on personal and group leadership, and then learn about moving from a bystander to leader strategies. Wartburg College students served as small group leaders who are earning their leadership endorsement.
The 5th Annual Developing Young Writer's Conference for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders from the Waverly-Shell Rock and St. Paul's schools, along language arts Wartburg College student, will take place again this year on March 13, 2015! Students will spend the day developing themselves as writers, thinkers, and lovers of writing!
