This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. I receive e-mail notices of pending blog comments as they are received. Alternatively, you may contact me by visiting http://kontactr.com/user/sstrumello.

This website is not meant to replace the advice of a healthcare professional. I am not a medical professional, and nothing on this website is meant to replace the advice of a medical or healthcare professional, nor should it be construed as medical advice. Speak to your health care provider for questions specific to your situation. This blog is intended to compliment the relationship between between a patient and his/her own physician by offering a patient perspective of what published medical research may mean to individuals with type 1 diabetes mellitus. Please note that while the medical management of diabetes is the same on a worldwide basis, this blog is authored from the perspective of a U.S.-based author, and healthcare delivery in other countries may vary.

Please know that I'm not here to promote the interests of pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, dietary advice, nutritional supplements or even nonprofit organizations. If you have something I might find interesting, I may decide to share information about it, but companies and organizations should not come to this site with an expectation that I will promote your offerings because this blog does not accept any form of cash advertising, sponsorship, or paid topic insertions. We may occasionally accept and keep free products, services, travel, admission to events that might otherwise charge for entry (such as scientific meetings), and other forms of compensation from companies and organizations, but I'll only write about something if I personally find it interesting and I believe it would be of value to my readers.

The owner of this blog would like to disclose the following previous or existing relationships: these companies, organizations and/or individuals have asked Scott Strumello (or sstrumello.com) for consultation services and/or feedback. We do this voluntarily, and without any commitment for future services. These companies do not dictate any of the content found on sstrumello.com.

We have consulted with and/or received sample merchandise and/or paid travel expenses from diaTribe, Agamatrix, Roche, Medtronic, The Diabetes Research Institute and/or the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, as well as The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

This blog abides by word-of-mouth marketing standards. We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The compensation received may influence any advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. However, that content, advertising space or post(s) will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content.

The owner(s) of this blog is not compensated to provide any opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the blog owner's. If we claim or appear to be experts on a certain topic or product or service area, we will only endorse products or services that we believe, based on our expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider. This blog does not presently contain any content which might present a conflict-of-interest.

Scott Strumello and sstrumello.com does not actively solicit so-called "blog-ola", nor do we make it easy for third-parties to reach us, which is by design. There isn't anything posted or endorsed that the author doesn't believe in.

Any contact information shared on this site (through blog comments or otherwise) is never given away, shared, sold, or used for any purpose other than Scott Strumello communicating directly with the individual.
