Prayers of the Faithful

Priest:      Let us pray to Jesus, the Lamb of God, for our own needs, the needs of the Church, and the needs of the world.

Reader:   For the Church: That Christ may heal in it the wounds caused by sin and division. [Pause] Lord in your mercy…Hear our prayer

For all nations: that they may be bound together by bonds of cooperation and peace. [Pause] Lord in your mercy…Hear our prayer

For all those who are disabled in any way: that through the love of others they may find health and self-worth.  [Pause] Lord in your mercy…Hear our prayer

For grace, through the Holy Spirit, constantly to seek to overcome our sinfulness. [Pause] Lord in your mercy…Hear our prayer

We remember those who have died recently and whose anniversaries occur at this time, especially: Maria Puspam Savarimuthu, Molly McCafferty, Tome Francisco Lobo and Adrian Markey.  We also remember those who are sick at home or in hospital that God may grant them His healing.  We also remember those for whom we have been asked to pray for, especially Sandra D’Souza and Rina Bellion. [Pause] Lord in your mercy…Hear our prayer

We pause for a moment to bring our own personal needs to the attention of our loving God.

Let us ask Mary our Blessed Mother to pray for and with us as we pray: Hail Mary…

Priest:      Father, we make all our prayers to you, through Christ, the sinless One who takes away our sins, and who now lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.  Amen.
