2011- 2012 Scouting Year

posted Aug 29, 2011, 6:16 PM by Chad McDaniel

Welcome back Scouters, the 2011-2012 year is around the corner. As they start the new school year please have your sons not only talk to their friends about fun they have at Scouts but bring their friends to any of our events. We have a lot of great activities planned. Not only will be sending out emails with future events we will also keep this website up to date with information.
Pack operations Each week the dens will meet for their den activities. In Pack 911 each den meets on Monday nights. The 4th Monday of each month are the Pack meetings where all the Dens gather together. There are no individual den meetings this week. At least once a month the Pack tries to participate in a weekend activitie such as camping or an outing.  If you have a smart phone you can download our google calendar to your phone.
Mandatory Youth Protection Training
For returning parents please update your Youth Protection training at For new parents you will need to create an account. You will then go to E-Learning on the left of the page and take the Youth Protection class unter the Cub Scout tab. This training will explain to you how the Boy Scouts Of America will ensure the protection of your child at scouting events. You can also check out the other free training and learn what all the job descriptions are for the leaders of the Pack.
Pack Committee
The Pack activities are determined by a Committee consisting of all the adult leaders and the parents are encouraged to attend and provide input. They are held on the Thursday before the Pack meeting.

Youth Protection

posted Aug 29, 2011, 6:15 PM by Chad McDaniel   [ updated Aug 29, 2011, 6:16 PM ]

Recently, the Boy Scouts of America announced important changes to its Youth Protection policies. The purpose of these changes is to increase awareness of this societal problem and to create even greater barriers to abuse than already exist today in Scouting.

Effective June 1, 2010:

  • Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers, regardless of their position.
  • New leaders are required to take Youth Protection training before submitting an application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time the application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins.
  • Youth Protection training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer’s Youth Protection training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered.
