 I'm doing my final year B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati.

My research interests are optimization, modeling and control of mechanical systems. I'm awaiting my PhD application results.

I'm currently working on the dynamic control of a Mckibben-actuated wrist joint. The objective of the project is to design and develop an affordable prosthetic, elegant in design and intelligent in function. It is a biomimetic project focusing on the anatomy of the human arm for dimensional choices.
I'm currently working with Dr. S. K. Dwivedy, Professor, IIT Guwahati.

I've previously worked with Dr. Ankur Kulkarni and Dr. Bishakh Bhattacharya. More information about the work is available on my research page.

Captain's log

  • Working on a Rubik's cube solver I took up an evolutionary computing course this semester. Probably the best decision of my life. I'm working on a ES based algorithm to solve the Rubik's cube.

  • Curve fitting is fun. FFT curve fittings and the wonders of MATLAB. Well, you learn something new everyday. I need to shift to python though. MATLAB just doesn't cut it, not all the time.

  • Math problems Variable coefficient second order ODEs can be converted to a first order form called the Abel's equations of second kind. Now that I know what it's called, time to find a way to solve it.
