Welcome to SRBI Online!

Since 2011, The Southeast Regional Biblical Institute (SRBI) has offered a Certificate Program through Beeson Divinity School Extension Division, Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama.  This Extension Institute has been designed for persons who want to improve their biblical and theological knowledge.  The Certificate Program of biblical and theological education has been available to both ministers and laypersons.  

During this time, students have experienced learning success through completion of the certificate program. On June 9, 2013, SRBI accomplished its first milestone with the conferring of certificates to nineteen students.  At the 2nd SRBI Recognition Ceremony, May 31, 2015, 34 students received Basic and Advanced Certificate. At the 3rd SRBI Recognition Ceremony, May 28, 2017, 28 students received a Diploma in Biblical Studies.  On December 17, 2017, 16 students received a Diploma in Biblical Studies.

What’s new to the SRBI Program?

The new SRBI is moving beyond the academics of the classroom to a more practical aspect of learning.  SRBI alumni and other persons who are interested in taking what they have learned and use it to effect change whether it be in preaching, teaching, or practical ministry with the church or faith community.  Participants will seek to effect social change within their ministry context.  The classes and session are designed to be short termed (3-6 sessions) or 1/2 day intensives being current and relevant.  

Who can enroll?

ALL preachers, ministers or pastors and interested persons are invited to participate.  The courses are taught by seminary trained instructors and experienced pastors. Go to:  sites.google.com/site/srbistudents

COURSE OF STUDY or DISCUSSION GROUP

PREACHING MADE BETTER
This discussion group will be held in the form of round table discussion with a sharing among facilitator leader and participants.  This informal discussion group will look at preaching that changes lives and reaches the 21st Century audience.  The group will explore Biblical preaching and ways to improve or make better ones preaching (Improving the craft of preaching by horning the preacher's skills). Resources will be provided and students who sign up for the class will receive information on textbooks.  The discussion group will meet for six sessions beginning June 11 at 6:00 p.m.

 Classes will be held on Mondays and Fridays, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. (six sessions)

The class/seminar fee cost will be determined by class offering.   

This amount is payable online at Paypal or with check or money order on the first day of class.
