Howard McElderry



Howard McElderry, M.Sc. is vice president, EM technology development, and a founding member of Archipelago Marine Research (www.archipelago.ca). Since earning his M. Sc. in marine biology in 1980, Howard has worked extensively in the field of commercial fisheries monitoring and analysis. He has played a key role in the development of at-sea and shore-based monitoring programs, and over the past decade, has led the development of technology-based approaches to fishery monitoring, or electronic monitoring (EM), that is being widely adopted in many industrialized fisheries around the globe.
