Audiobooks and Parallel Texts
Google

One of the best ways to study a language is through the use of audiobooks. Simply read the book in your native language while listening to it in the language you want to learn.

This is no more complicated than watching a foreign movie with English subtitles and is a far more efficient way to learn. The sheer volume of words you hear in an audiobook far outweighs the dialogue you will hear in a movie.

You can take this study method one step further by creating a parallel text of the book you want to study. To do this you will need to cut and paste the English and Japanese so they sit side by side. This allows you to cross reference unknown words as you listen.

Without further ado, here is a list of audiobooks and parallel texts. This will be updated!
