Pool Rules

    These rules are for the benefit and protection of all members and their guests. The Pool Manager and the guards have the authority to enforce the following rules and to restrict use of the pool and grounds to those members or guests who refuse to abide by them.

    1.      Pool Hours are as posted. The pool may be closed if the air temperature is less than 70 degrees.

    2.      Use of Spring Run Swim Club Pool is restricted to members of Spring Run Swim Club and invited guests. All guests must be accompanied by a member at all times.  Guest fee is $5.00 per person, with no guest using the facility more than a total of 10 times during the season.

    3.      The manager and lifeguards have complete authority to enforce all rules.  They may suspend club privileges of any person who violates the rules, or for conduct not considered to be in the best interest of the club.  Appeal of a suspension may be made to the Board of Directors.

    4.      Prior to entering the pool area, all Spring Run Swim Club members and their invited guests must register at the pool entrance.

    5.      Spitting, spouting of water, blowing noses, etc. are strictly prohibited in the pool. Never swallow pool water.

    6.      Parents are requested to instruct their children in personal hygiene and the proper use of the rest room facilities.  ANY UNSANITARY CONDITIONS FOUND ON THE PREMISES SHOULD IMMEDIATELY BE REPORTED TO THE LIFEGUARD ON DUTY OR THE MANAGER.

    7.      Any person showing evidence of any communicable skin disease, sore or inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharges, or any other communicable disease shall be denied admission.

    8.      Any person with excessive sunburn, open blisters, cuts or bandages shall be denied admission.

    9.      Proper swim attire must be worn in the pool at all times.

    ·         No street clothing, including cut-offs are permitted in the pool.

    ·         Children who are not potty trained must wear plastic pants or swim diapers.

    10.  Parking is not permitted in the pavilion-playground area.  You may unload your vehicles at the pavilion and then move your vehicle to the regular parking area.

    11.  Children in the baby pool are to be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Children over the age of six (6) are not permitted in the baby pool at any time.

    12.  Children under the age of twelve (12) must be accompanied by a parent or responsible person at the pool at all times.

    13.  Weekend Membership includes Friday, Saturday, Sundays, and Summer Holidays only.  It does not include any    other day of the week.  Weekend Membership members will not be allowed to purchase more than six (6) guest    passes during a season; no exceptions.

    14. Student Membership includes children who are twelve (12) - twenty-three (23) years of age from June 1 - August 31st; no exceptions. Student Membership members will not be allowed to purchase more than four (4) guest passes during a season; no exceptions.

    15. Babysitter is defined as an individual who is supervising the member family's children. Babysitter is only allowed at pool with the family or family's children.

    16.  No running, jumping, pushing, rough play, horseplay or other action causing undue disturbance is permitted in the pool area at any time.

    17.  Any conduct which endangers the life or safety of others shall be prohibited.

          18.  No obscene language is permitted.

    19.  All persons are to stay off the lane lines, ropes and lifeguard stand at all times.

    20.  Diving is permitted only from the diving boards.  No flips, twists or somersaults are permitted from the side of the pool.

    21.  Only one (1) person is allowed on the diving boards.  Persons using the diving boards must be capable of swimming to the side of the pool unaccompanied.  Diving or jumping from the diving boards is permitted only straight away from the board (and not toward the sides of the pool), and only after the preceding person has reached the side of the pool (latter) and the area is clear.

    22.  Hanging from the diving boards is prohibited.

    23.  No rafts, noodles or other flotation devices are permitted in the deep end of the pool at any time.

    24.  No flotation devices, including life jackets, water wings, pool pal bathing suits, etc. may be used from the diving boards.

    25.  Kick boards are for use only by the swim team during practice.

    26.  Glass items are not permitted in the pool area at any time.  Non-alcoholic beverages may be brought into the pool area if in unbreakable, disposable containers.  Throw container in the trash before leaving.

    27.  Use of chewing gum and tobacco products (including smokeless tobacco) are not permitted in the pool area at any time.

    28.  An adult swim or rest period (allow swimmers eighteen (18) years or older) will take place ten (10) minutes to the hour on the hour.  Upon indication by the Lifeguards that it is time for the adult swim or rest period.  All persons under the age of eighteen (18) will be required to sit out of the pool.

    29.  The manager and lifeguards have complete authority to enforce all rules.  They may suspend club privileges of any person who violates the rules, or for conduct not considered to be in the best interest of the club.  Appeal of a suspension may be made to the Board of Directors.

    30.  All emergencies are to be reported immediately to the Lifeguard who will then take charge of the situation.  A written statement must be filed with Spring Run Swim Club upon request of the Lifeguard or pool management.

    31.  The Lifeguard Shack is to be used only by the Pool Manager, Lifeguards and other authorized persons.  Permission must be obtained from the Pool Manager or Lifeguard to enter this area.  The telephone in the Lifeguard Shack is for business and emergency use.  Social calls are not to be made from this telephone.

    THE POOL SHOULD BE A SAFE AND FUN PLACE FOR EVERYONE PLEASE DO NOT DISTRACT THE LIFEGUARDS FROM THEIR JOB TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF ALL PERSONS AT THE POOL
