Hike description

This is a

Northern Virginia Hiking Club

event

This Springtime urban hike through midtown Manhattan includes hiking past NY icons such as Central Park, Times Square, Madison Square Garden, U. N. Building, Grand Central Station, Empire State Building, and so on. The hike is about 8-9 miles of walking through Manhattan's streets and parks. The hike will start early in the morning in NY (about 5 a.m.) and end in the afternoon. (about 2 p.m.).  Meeting spot in Manhattan will be announced to hikers who register for this hike.

We will stop at restaurants and cafes for breakfast, lunch, coffee and restroom breaks.

We will try to minimize shopping and potty stops by doing group stops so we do more hiking than shopping and potty stops.

Bring money for breakfast, lunch, subway rides and personal needs.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation to New York.  Early arrangements are recommended for reduced cost.

Those wishing to travel with the hike leaders will be provided with the leaders' itinerary upon request.
