About our Director

Terry Minihan
Owner and Director of  Spotlight Performing Arts

Terry Minihan has been a performer since she was very young and has been in the business for over 40 years. She is a highly sought after soloist who has sung with the Boston and Portland Symphonies.  She has sung with a variety of groups and ensembles from trios to 200 voice choirs and has an expansive repertoire spanning gospel to pop, and country to classical.

Terry enjoys acting but her passion lies in directing productions and remaining 'behind the scenes'.  She was the Youth Director and Youth Vocal Coach for the Ogunquit Playhouse, the Children's Director for the Nasson Little Theater and Lower School Youth Director for Berwick Academy directing youngsters in The King & I, Beauty and the Beast, and Oliver! plus many, many plays and scripts that she has written and produced.

Terry is a fun-loving, nurturing teacher, producer and director who believes it is about the whole experience of learning a show rather than merely the final performance.  She loves people of all ages and enjoys working with 3 year olds to 103 year olds!
