Background - Born and raised in a Football Culture, with it being bigger than religion back in South America, Juan moved to New Zealand about 2 years ago.

During a year, he was living in Mount Maunganui, where he was heavily involved with WaiBoP Football Federation. He did a lot of coaching and a lot of School's programs, working with plenty of kids of all ages. He added up all this experiences to his previous knowledge, and has been working in Junior and Youth Level ever since.

In February of 2014 he moved down to Wellington, and joined our forces.

He has always focused on developing the players, nurturing them with the type of sessions they need, to make sure they grow and improve the best they can. His approach is heavily focused on the atmosphere, so in his sessions you will always fun a lot of fun games that include everything the player's need.

He is currently SportZone's Football Coordinator, and is involved in most of our football programs. He is also working with Capital Football and Futsal, while at the same time being one of the coaching supervisors for the Wellington United Junior Level.


Qualifications/Experience -
  • Head Coach for Federation Talent Center's U13/12 Girls Team in the Bay of Plenty (2013). Also coached two Representative Teams.
  • Head Coach for Federation Talent Center's U14 Hutt Boys Team in Wellington (2014). During one term he also coached the U15's team.
  • NZF Level 1 and 2 Junior Coaching licence.
  • NZF Level 2 Youth Coaching licence.
Other Stuff - 

Juan graduated with a degree in History from Universidad Adolfo Ibañez and a minor in Political Science.
