Upper Hutt Multi Ethnic Football Tournament 2016

Everyone is welcome to watch, participate and enjoy this annual football tournament held in Upper Hutt .

The 11th Regional Ethnic Community Football Tournament is due to be played on the 17th and 24th of
September at Griffin Field, Sommes Road, Trentham..

Like last year, the tournament will be run as a 6-aside competition and is open to both Men's and Women's and College        teams. This year we are also looking to start a Master's Division in which teams can register with all team players                needing to be over 35.
Teams in all divisions can have up to 10 members each, which includes any coaches. Teams are encouraged
to look to represent an ethnic group or nation.

Players from many cultures and communities have enjoyed the fun and football, meeting and making new friends and        connections on and off the fields.

Come and watch or come and play.

If you are interested, the cost is $100 per team and you can register by clicking HERE.

Registration and payment must be completed before Kickoff to be considered fully registered.

Both Mens  and Women's winners of the Upper Hutt Ethnic Football Tournament will be invited to represent Upper Hutt     at the 'New Zealand Communities Football Cup' held later this year.

Here is the Organising Committee's role for the tournament:

  • David Wells is the Tournament Manager.
  • Tony Morrison is our Games and Results Coordinator.
