Leisurely biking from Castle to Castle, Hiking through the Black Forest, yoga, outdoor swimming,  and other activities such as walking/jogging/trail running - all distances - all levels 
2019 is the year we bike in the country side and hike in the Black Forest. 

We are ready to offer you an early spring active lifestyle experience you'll never forget!! Sun & warmth (& no wind) while biking along the Rhine River (in both France & Germany) Guided food hiking tour, swimming in pristine-clear baggersees, and a train ride to the castle!  We'll hike into the Black Forest Mountains, keeping an eye out for witches & goblins lurking in the forest!! 

 2019 Training Highlights: 
  • Hiking in the Black Forest where you can find beer tents and wine fests at every corner 
  • Biking/Walking/ Jogging/ Running along the historic Rhine River
  • Outdoor Yoga Classes (all levels)
  • Swimming in the warm open German waters
What’s included:
  • 9 days and 8 nights accommodations (breakfast and lunch snacks included) in shared accommodations (3 or 4 people/house) featuring on-site restaurant, bakery, grocery store and laundry facilities
  • A maximum of 8 participants under the watchful eye of the coaches
  • Train tickets to the castle 
  • Guided Food Hike 
  • Yoga classes and outdoor swims 
  • Language support and an inside look at the lifestyle of the historic Black Forest (home of the fairy tales that we all grew up with)
  • Pick up and drop off at local train station

 What will you need:

  • Valid Passport
  • Standard Travel Medical and Accident Insurance

What do you need to bring:

  • Bike accessories and bike helmet
  • Bike - optional ( we have access to a bike store renting all levels of touring bikes, in various sizes at about the same cost of shipping your bike)
  • If you opt to rent a bike, you might want to bring your own pedals and shoes and maybe your own bike seat
  • Bike lock and bike light
  • Hiking clothes (long sleeve light weight hiking shirt/pants)
  • Running, swimming, biking clothes and accessories (including wetsuit, if desired)
  • Daypack
  • International electrical adapter
  • Visa card is accepted in all major stores, as is cash or international debit card
Tentative Itinerary:
  • Saturday, June 22nd , arrive at the Training Camp by 4pm and settle away in the house.  
  • Sunday, June 30th, 9:00 am Morning departure.

 Example of a Training Day 

  • 7:30 am Yoga stretching or Morning swim
  • 8:00 am Breakfast at the training camp
  • 9:00 am Departure for daily outings 
  • 4:00- 5:00 pm Personal Time (Internet, email, etc)
  • 5:00 - 7:00 pm massage, shopping or fun run
  • 7:00- 9:00 pm Supper at local restaurants, pubs or Biergartens
Cost:  9 Day Camp - $1399+HST/person – Deposit of $460 ($400+HST/person) required at registration to secure your spot. Registrations up to Oct 31st, 2018, will have preference in choosing rooms in accommodations. Remainder due 1st May 2019.

If you look to the east, you’ll see the wonderful panorama of the northern Black Forest.
The world-famous town of Baden-Baden is just 15 km away at the foot of the mountains. The Schwarzwaldhochstraße (Black Forest High Street), which is lined with interesting destinations, starts in the town. The Badische Weinstraße (Baden Wine Road) also has a lot to offer. Here, you’ll encounter fine wines as well as various tasty Baden delicacies.


The health resort of Baden-Baden is always worth a visit – from the Roman ruins and relaxing thermal springs to the exclusive shopping opportunities and, of course, the famous casino. A trip to this region of Germany isn't complete without visiting this glamorous city.



The French city of Strasbourg is 40 km away.

The impressive cathedral, which attracts millions of visitors each year, is located at the heart of the city’s historical Old Town. If you think of Strasbourg, the first thing that springs to mind is the world-famous cathedral. But this monumental building is not the only sight in the city, not by far. The picturesque Old Town, numerous museums and of course the European Parliament are always popular destinations.


The city of Heidelberg is 125 km away.

The jewel among German travel destinations, Heidelberg is located in the Neckar river valley where the legend-rich Odenwald (Forest of Odin) opens up towards the plains of the Rhine Valley. It is home to the oldest university in Germany (est. 1386). Heidelberg has retained its baroque charm of narrow streets, picturesque houses and of course the world-famous Schloss (castle ruins). 


The northern Black Forest plays host to impressive overwhelming wonders of nature that can be best experienced by bike. Destinations such as the Mummelsee, the Mehliskopf mountain with its summer toboggan run and the breathtaking climbing park make these tours an unforgettable experience.
