Spirit Talkers Flute Circle of Kansas City Kansas City, Missouri's Spirit Talkers Flute Circle is a gathering of individuals interested in the Native American style flute. This interest may range from a "sometimes thing", to a life changing passion. Individual members may be interested in making flutes, playing flutes, composing original music, public performances or simply listening to the flute.

The function of Spirit Talkers is to foster use of the Native American Style Flute, support growth of individuals, and to provide representation and a channel of communications between the individual flute players and the community at large. Currently, Spirit Talkers supports the individual flute players by providing information, education, and fellowship.

The Spirit Talkers Flute Circle meets weekly at our primary location, St Marks Catholic Church. Use the parking lot and church doors on the south side. Once inside the church, you will find us in the music room (room #5). We have a back up location at the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Independence, Mo. Parking is available on the street in front.

We are blessed that the Church provides us with a meeting location, however the Spirit Talkers is non-denominational. Though we have members with "Specific Tribal Ancestry", we welcome all.

Attendance at the Spirit Talkers Flute Circle meetings is free. If you elect to join our group, a small membership fee may be requested. If you do not own a Native American Style Flute, you are still welcome. We have PVC flutes you can borrow. Any funds raised by the group are used to support various group programs, activities ,and charities. We may ask you for an e-mail address so that we can send you meeting, and performance announcements, but this is entirely voluntary.

If you are interested in attending a flute group meeting, event, or workshop, please check the EVENTS - CALENDAR page, and the CONTACT US page for direction. We look forward to sitting with you.
