Spires Way is a 28 mile circular trail in East Northamptonshire, devised in 2012 to

commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

The idea of the trail came from a view-point half a mile north of the village of Great

Addington, from where on a clear day 10 church spires can be seen along the

beautiful Nene Valley. Spires Way links the spires together by using existing rights

of way. Most of the route is along public footpaths and bridleways, including parts of

the Nene Way, the Greenway in Higham Ferrers, and the Stanwick Lakes pathways.

The trail can be split into 3 circular walks,

all starting and finishing in Great Addington, or a series of 11 short linear walks.
