Hi! My name is Carlos Ospino. I am an independent economist based in Medellin, Colombia, specializing in labor markets, poverty measurement, and applied microeconometrics. I previously worked as an Economist at the Poverty and Equity Global Practice of the World Bank (2020-2026) and at the Labor Markets Division of the Inter-American Development Bank (2016-2020). I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad de los Andes (2016). My primary areas of interest include:

• Poverty measurement and distributional impacts of public policies.

• Labor market analysis and informality in Latin America.

• The intersection of machine learning and econometrics for causal inference.

• Impact evaluation and wage dynamics.
