Who We Are


Literacy Volunteers of Laredo was organized in 1986 to promote literacy throughout Laredo. The LVL community program consists of staff who recruit, train, and match volunteers tutors with non-reading adults who need individualized basic reading and English as a second language (ESL) instruction for those who are not native English speakers. 


Literacy Volunteers of Laredo fue fundado en 1986 para ayudar a la communidad de Laredo combatir el analfabetismo. El programa consiste de trabajadores que reclutan, entrenan, y asignan tutores voluntarios con estudiantes que no saben el idioma del Ingles.
