The home planet of Niflheimr is in the middle of an extreme ice age which have caused the polar caps to swell only leaving a habitable patch around the equator of the planet, and extreme storms just to the south. Rich in nitrogen and hydrogen which only allow sparse plant life except in the frozen over planetary ocean, which means the people of this planet are mainly carnivores and have perfected there hunting methods.Having adapted for there harsh climate they have evolved to have a gill like breathing system.The minimal land mass does not allow for large cities so the Jotunn live aboard amphibious moving cities. The small populace of humans live in bio domes scattered along the surface. This small populations are at civil war with the Jotunn thinking that we should rejoin earth.
