Welcome to SPAWNERS
The San Pablo Watershed Neighbors Education & Restoration Society

SPAWNERS is a group of volunteers from our community who are working together to protect San Pablo Creek.

We restore creek banks, remove invasive plant species, plant lovely natives, and help others learn about and appreciate our local creeks.

Upcoming Events

Earth Day Celebration
Sat., April 19, 9:30am-noon
Main site: El Sobrante Library, 4191 Appian Way Satellite site: El Portal Dr./Fordham St., San Pablo

Activities will include a trash clean-up, removing weeds, and installing native plants. Lunch and a light breakfast will be provided to all volunteers. Please wear sturdy shoes and comfortable clothes, and bring a water bottle. If bringing 10 people or more, please RSVP to courtney or 510-665-3538.

Earth Day Crafts
Tues., April 22, 3:30-5pm
El Sobrante Library Community Meeting Room

SPAWNERS is partnering with the El Sobrante Library to co-host Earth Day craft activities. Come celebrate Earth Day with stories, crafts, and more! Suitable for children ages 0-11 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Trash Surveys
Sat., April 19, 9:30 am

Tues., May 6, 9:30 am
Fred Jackson Way/Parr Blvd., Richmond

SPAWNERS is partnering with Contra Costa County and The Watershed Project to conduct two trash surveys. Volunteers will work in teams to track the types and amounts of trash found. Please dress appropriately and bring a water bottle. SPAWNERS will provide tools, gloves, rubber boots, and snacks. Please RSVP to
