SHC is in full swing for building a CubeSat. This means that we need testing equipment.
- Thermal vacuum testing - With access to a bell jar vacuum chamber, a thermal shroud needs to be added. To do this a design was engineered and is currently being built. This a picture of the liquid nitrogen cooled thermal shroud bringing the CubeSat down to low temperature operating conditions and heating it to outgassing requirements.
- Helmholtz Coil - The team is building a 3-axis Helmholtz coil for calibration of the magnetometer. Also, this tool could be used to verify the passive stabilization techniques such as hysteresis dampening.
