SHC has 2 BalloonSat flights coming soon!
Flight 11 March 27th, 2010
Nursing Dosimeter Flight
Objective: The objective of this flight is to measure radiation levels over a high altitude BalloonSat Flight approaching 120,000ft. This is an experiment in conjunction with the Nursing in Space Committee in the UAHuntsville Nursing Department. This will help determine possible experiments which could be performed on BalloonSat flights.
Flight 12: April 17th, 2010
Earth Day Flight
Objective: The objective of this flight is publicly demonstrate the BalloonSat capabilities and how it can be used to measure atmospheric conditions. Several simple measurements such as temperature and pressure will be measured and reported live to the launch site for the audience to enjoy. The flight will be a low level flight due to the mid afternoon launch time frame.
Please tune into our tracking website Space.uah.edu to monitor the flights real time.
