Space Explorers Academy expects all pupils on the enrichment courses to:

  • Listen to and follow all instructions from all staff promptly. This includes your course tutors, Leeson House staff and also any guest speakers or leaders that you may have on your course.

  • To respect all the other children.

  • To treat the buildings, grounds and all teaching equipment and resources with care and respect.

  • To stay within the designated areas at all times. This includes during tutor led sessions, recreational time  and during meal times.

If a pupil is unable to follow this agreement and this is having a negative effect on the well- being, attainment and enjoyment of the course for the other pupils and the staff then the following actions will be taken.

  • The pupil will have an initial verbal warning, followed by a meeting with a member of SEA staff.

  •  If the poor behaviour / attitude continues after this then SEA will request that the parents / guardians come to collect the pupil from the course at their own expense.

SEA  expects all parents / guardians sending their child on one of the residential enrichment courses to:

  •  Be as honest and as accurate as possible with regard to their child's abilities and interests to ensure that the course will be accessible and yet still challenging and rewarding to them. It is important to be fully aware that these courses are designed to be challenging and all pupils on a course need to have a positive attitude to learning and hard work in order for everyone to achieve their potential.

  •  To provide Space Explorers Academy with all necessary medical, dietary and behavioural information. This information will be dealt with in full confidence at all times.

  • To support this policy in full.

If your child has behavioural issues then please get in touch to  discuss course suitability, as many of the brightest minds are a bit off the wall and over the years we have taught all sorts .
