Sovan Biswas is currently a Research Scientist at Intel Labs.  Previously, he worked at IBM Research India and Xerox Research Centre India.  He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Bonn, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Gall, and an M.Sc. (Engg.)  from IISc, Bangalore, India, under the guidance of Dr. R. Venkatesh Babu.
