Below is our schedule for the summer basketball. We will have three teams participating. One Varsity team and two JV teams. The Varsity team plays in the Big Red Summer League at SPHS and has three weekend tournaments. Both JV teams play in the Cape League at CHS. As a general rule all juniors and seniors will play varsity. Sophomores will be one JV team and incoming Frosh will be the other. However, we will ask Sophs to play in varsity games as well. Depending on numbers we may need juniors to attend Cape league if needed.
We totally understand players have commitments to other sports. In fact we not only encourage, but expect our players to be multi-sport athletes. We feel that is the best way to grow as a student-athlete and a person. However, we ask players communicate with us ahead of time when they will not be at a game so we can plan accordingly.
The cost of summer basketball is $50 per player. Please make checks out to South Portland Boys Basketball Boosters. If you are an incoming freshmen and are attending Big Red Camp, the cost is waived.
