CQ CQ - FIELD DAY, June 24, 2017!

SPARC will be participating in Field Day from Honu 'apo Bay (Whittington Beach Park) this Saturday! Realistic times are from 20:00 UTC to 02:00 UTC (6/24-25).

We will be operating under the club call sign, KH6EL and will use digital and SSB modes operating 2A PAC.  We hope to hear you on the bands!

  • Welcome to SPARC, we are the South Point Amateur Radio Club!
  • NO DUES, NO OFFICERS and NO MEETINGS! Lots of fun activities instead.
  • We are not officially affiliated with ARRL but we participate in many of their events, such as Field Day. We are active in ARES.   Hawaii ARES
  • We are a group of fun-loving, but serious ham radio operators, in the South Point area on the Big Island of Hawaii. Our grid squares are BK29 and the northern tip of BK28.
  • Therefore, we cover the southern portion of the Big Island and include the areas of Kealakekua, Captain Cook, Milolii, Ocean View, Discovery Harbour, Na'alehu, Pahala and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
  • Join the club by coming  to just ONE monthly potluck on the first Sunday of each month at noon. These are held at the Manuka State Wayside rest stop! Bring something to drink and something to share with the group. EASY-PEASY. You will be a member of SPARC for LIFE, you can't beat that!
